Windows installation & connection help

Start with the item matching your symptom. If TITAN works normally, no additional FIX or certificate installation is needed.

Runtime libraries

The app will not start or closes immediately

Use this when an error mentions a missing Visual C++ or .NET component, or the app cannot start.

How to use

  1. Download the component named in the error message below.
  2. Open its installer and choose Install or Repair. Review and approve the Windows permission prompt if shown.
  3. Close and reopen TITAN. Restart Windows if the installer asks you to.
Before you proceed

A 32-bit app may need Visual C++ x86 even on 64-bit Windows. The .NET link is Desktop Runtime 8 for x64. Match the component to your PC and the app requirements.

Integrated FIX

Connections fail or repeatedly disconnect

Use when changing servers has not helped and support recommends repairing Windows network settings.

How to use

  1. Save your work, disconnect TITAN and close the app.
  2. Download titan_fix_all.bat. Right-click it and select Run as administrator; on Windows 11 this may be under Show more options.
  3. Approve the permission prompt and wait for the command window instructions. At the final runtime question, enter Y only if the app cannot start; otherwise enter N, then press Enter.
  4. After completion, reopen TITAN and connect. If the error remains, send the error number and tool results to support.
Before you proceed

The current tool changes certificates/TLS, proxy, automatic DNS, VPN adapter/services, firewall/TCP and Wintun settings. Connections may drop. Consult your administrator first during remote access or on a PC with managed network settings. If security software blocks it, contact support rather than disabling protection.

Error 13801 · manual certificate install

An IKEv2 certificate error appears

Use when a missing certificate is suspected or support recommends a certificate-only repair. Error 13801 can have other causes.

How to use

  1. Download the Sectigo R46 certificate and double-click it. Check the name: Sectigo Public Server Authentication Root R46.
  2. Click Install Certificate.
  3. Choose Local Machine, click Next and approve administrator access if requested.
  4. Select Place all certificates in the following store, then Browse.
  5. Choose Trusted Root Certification Authorities, then OK → Next → Finish. Confirm that the import succeeded.
  6. Disconnect and reconnect using IKEv2 in TITAN. If it still fails, send the error number to support instead of repeatedly installing the same file.
Before you proceed

Choose Local Machine rather than Current User. Work or school PCs may need administrator approval. Install additional certificates below only when specifically advised.

DNS diagnostic · DNS FIX

Connected, but DNS shows an unexpected country

Diagnose first if DNS results differ from expectations while connected to a Korean server, or a particular site fails. DNS results alone do not identify the cause.

How to use

  1. Connect to a Korean server and run the DNS diagnostic. Review the results together with your symptoms.
  2. If advised to change DNS settings, download titan_dns_fix.bat and right-click → Run as administrator.
  3. Approve the prompt and wait for completion. A background task is installed and checks detected VPN state about every 20 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the VPN and wait at least 20 seconds. Fully restart Chrome/Edge and run the DNS diagnostic again.
Before you proceed

When a VPN is detected, the BAT helper applies Korean DNS and disables IPv6; when disconnected, it attempts automatic DNS and enables IPv6. It also turns off Chrome/Edge secure DNS via policy. Disconnecting does not undo all policies. Ask support for removal/restoration. Access to a particular website is not guaranteed.

Additional tools · use when support advises

Install USERTrust RSA or ISRG Root X1 using the steps above only if the required certificate has been identified. The PowerShell tool differs from the BAT: it pins DNS and disables IPv6/browser secure DNS, without installing the BAT background task for automatic restoration. Use only when support specifically requests it.

Help with installation and connection

Login/connection errors 691 or 812
  1. Recheck your email/password and subscription time in MyPage.
  2. 691 can involve authentication and 812 can involve server policy; installing a certificate does not solve every case. Check whether another server behaves the same way.
  3. Send the error code, time and selected server to support if it persists.
Connected, but the internet does not work
  1. Disconnect the VPN and check normal internet first. If that also fails, check Wi-Fi, Ethernet or mobile data.
  2. If normal internet works, restart TITAN and try another server. Check whether another VPN is running at the same time.
  3. On mobile, compare Wi-Fi and mobile data. If the issue remains, tell support the device, OS version, server and exact error.
Connection stopped after an update
  1. Fully close the app, restart the device and try again.
  2. Review any renewed installation/VPN permission prompt and approve it if it belongs to TITAN. Use the latest installer on this page; on iOS, update through the App Store.
  3. Before reinstalling, confirm your login details and record necessary settings. Removing the app may erase local settings. Do not remove organization-managed VPN configurations without authorization.
Which account and subscription should I check?
  1. Sign in to TITAN with your TITAN account, not an Apple/Google account or computer login password.
  2. Check email/password and view the plan and remaining time in MyPage. Use password recovery below if needed.
  3. Send error codes and messages to support, not passwords or verification codes.
